Once Exchange is Confirmed

Check Your Home Insurance

Confirm Moving Date

• Finalize with your solicitor.
• Coordinate with your estate agent for chain approval.
• Book a removal company or hire a van.

Notify Key Parties

• Inform landlord (if renting).
• Notify utility providers (gas, electric, water, etc.).

Start Sorting & Decluttering

• Decide what to keep, sell, donate, or dispose of.

Update Your Address

• Inform banks, insurers, healthcare providers, etc.
• Set up Royal Mail mail forwarding (recommend 12 months).

Arrange Childcare/Pet Care

• Plan for someone to look after children or pets on moving day.

1 Week Before Moving
